Ra.One (Blu-ray)

Ra One is a Bollywood science-fiction film directed by Anubhav Sinha. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles. The movie is about a superhero who is brought out of a virtual world to defeat a character who has traversed into the real world. Anubhav Sinha’s Ra One was a superhit and was one of the most expensive films with amazing visual effects. The movie won a National Film Award, a Filmfare award, and four International Indian Film Academy awards.

Shekhar Subramaniam (Shah Rukh Khan) is a game designer living in London with his wife Sonia (Kareena Kapoor) and son. Shekhar is a typical middle-class Indian with a Tamil ancestry. His son is a cool kid and Shekhar tries all means to strike a good wavelength with his son. At his son’s insistence, he creates a video game with a very powerful character, RA.One. The game receives adulations and Shekar’s son plays the game and reaches the second level. In the third level, one character kills the other. RA.One, infuriated at being defeated, enters the real world to kill Shekar’s son. Shekhar is killed trying to save his son. As RA.One unleashes terror G.One, who resembles Shekar, he has to be brought into the real world to save all. Will the indestructible RA.One be defeated and will Shekhar’s family survive make the rest of the drama. Ra One’s songs have been a super hit, especially “Chammak Challo”.

Ra One (2011) was released by Eros Studio. The movie is available in Blu-ray format and carries a U rating. The Hindi language movie carries English subtitles and has a runtime of 150 minutes.
