Thenavan, a pensive young man who attempts to compromise by complying with his mother’s wish meets up with Sheila, an exquisite looking dark-skinned woman whose insecurities have been tapped due to constantly being rejected by her suitors because of her complexion. Sheila falls for Thenavan, finding a comfortable companion in him. Meanwhile, Thenavan politely rejects the arranged marriage proposal and suggests they become friends instead. The reason behind his repetitive action of rejecting proposals come to light as he coincidentally catches sight of Kalyani, his high school crush.
